In a leadership restructure, Grey Singapore will join Grey Malaysia to become one unit overseen by Irene Wong (current CEO of Grey Malaysia) and Graham Drew (current creative chief of Grey Malaysia) whose roles will be expanded to have equal responsibility across both the Malaysia and Singapore offices.

Meanwhile, Konstantic Popovic, the current CEO of Grey Singapore, is leaving the agency at the end of the year to refocus his career towards his passion for sustainability. Over the next three months, Wong will work with Popovic to ensure a seamless transition.

Wong and Drew have led their team to snag Campaign's Creative Agency of the Year title three times as well as win awards at Spikes Asia.

"This is such an exciting opportunity for us and the teams and a chance for synergy,” said Wong. “The truth is every studio has things that they are great and not so great at, being able to fill each other's gaps and becoming a stronger unit across the board is what this is all about."

Under Wong’s stewardship, the Malaysia business is said to have continued to grow year-on-year. She previously held posts at Leo Burnett and Naga DDB before joining Grey.

"One of the better things we learnt over the past few years is that utilising talent shouldn't be dependent on geography,” said Drew. “Exposing the Singapore team to the creative talent of Malaysia and vice versa will be inspirational on all fronts and will be reflected in the work".

Originally from the UK, Drew arrived at Grey in 2014 and has led pitch wins including Carlsberg, Tesco, Telekom Malaysia and WWF. Drew also won Campaign’s Creative Person of the Year for Southeast Asia in 2020.
