JWT Melbourne hires new director of digital

MELBOURNE: WPP-owned creative agency JWT Melbourne has appointed Josie Brown has director of digital. Brown joins the agency from Proctor and Gamble where she lead digital across Australia and New Zealand for three years.

Prior to her stint with Procter & Gamble, Brown was instrumental in building digital specialist agency Sputnik, as its client services director.

Commenting on the appointment, JWT managing director, Michael Godwin said, "Recently I've been listening to advertisers express their frustration over agencies’ inability to help them build a digital road map for their business, being more focused on tactical execution and campaign extension. So I’m pleased to offer our clients the services of one of Australia's best digital marketing professionals.”

Brown said that in her new role she aims to help clients transform businesses using innovation in technology, social engagement and digital commerce.
