Jill Kluge named CMO of Mandarin Oriental Group

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has named Jill Kluge as its next chief marketing officer, succeeding Michael Hobson who will be retiring at the end of this year.

Currently the group director of brand communications, Kluge started her career at the Mandarin closer to home, as the group public relations manager in Hong Kong in 1991. She later transferred to the group's corporate office in London in 2001.

“Jill has been instrumental in driving Mandarin Oriental’s strong brand recognition over the past 25 years. I congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion, and wish her every success,” said James Riley, group chief executive.

On Hobson's retirement, Riley said: "Michael joined Mandarin Oriental in 1994 and has played a pivotal role in the global development of the business during the ensuing years. I would like to thank him for his enormous contribution to the brand.”
