JAKARTA - Integrated agency Iris Worldwide Indonesia has named Oni Marbun as its general manager.

She is tasked to service clients with above-the-line budgets and strengthen the agency's telco expertise.

“We are very happy to have secured Oni,” Maneha Widarso, director of operations at Iris Worldwide (Indonesia), said. “We believe her client-side and previous advertising experience further strengthens our efforts to provide extraordinary solutions for our clients.”

Marbun spent the last decade with XL Axiata, one of Indonesia's largest telcos. Her last position was senior marketing manager where she developed prepaid services, technology convergent products, Blackberry and internet. Prior to her stint at XL Axiata, she worked with Lowe and Lintas on FMCG brands for nearly 14 years.

“I chose Iris because it is an independent global network with a broad range of clients,” Marbun said.

Iris ventured into Indonesia last year, its fifth market in Asia, under a partnership with the then newly minted homegrown group, the Nava+ group of brands. It also has assets in Singapore, India (New Delhi), China (Beijing) and Australia (Sydney and Melbourne).

This affiliation came after Daya Maha Berkarya (DMB), Advis, Brainstorm and M2M Interface formed a partnership under the Nava+ Group of brands. It follows DMB's split from DDB Worldwide in Indonesia after a nine-year partnership.
