IPG Mediabrands hires Stuart Clark from Havas

SINGAPORE- IPG Mediabrands has announced that it has hired Stuart Clark, previously managing director for Havas Media APAC, as client managing partner for the region.

The company said Clark will work with global and regional clients including Hershey’s, Coca-Cola, Exxon, Sony and Chrysler.

He will report to Prashant Kumar, president of IPG Mediabrands World Markets Asia.

Clark came to Asia from Havas Media London in 2007 to launch the company's operations in Singapore and Malaysia. He became MD of Havas Media International in APAC in 2011 and was named to one of Campaign Asia-Pacific's 40 Under 40 in 2013.

Kumar said Clark combines "deep and diverse media experience in Asia with a credible persona and easy youthful positivity".

Clark cited Mediabrands' ambitious growth plans in the region and "agency of the future vision" in commenting on his new position.

Campaign Asia-Pacific has reached out to Havas Media for comment on Clark's replacement.

Update: A spokesperson for Havas confirmed that Clark's responsibilities have gone to Aga Giedroyc, was appointed GM of Havas Media International in late May (press release).
