Carroll, executive vice-president of Turner Broadcasting System Asia-Pacific, and Hamzah, senior vice-president for CNN broadcast and commercial sales, marketing and affiliate relations for Asia-Pacific, will both exit the company at the end of the year.

Carroll, who has been at Turner’s Hong Kong headquarters for 12 years, says he does not plan to lose touch with Turner and the industry.

“Turner has given me enormous opportunity to grow and learn and I am very grateful to Steve Marcopoto, in particular, for providing me with the opportunity to do so much. My priority for now is my young family and their needs.”

An internal memo from Turner managing director Steve Marcopoto thanking Ian and Eslinda, also outlined the new senior management structure, drawing from content sales business Turner Content Solutions.

Anshuman Misra (pictured) has been promoted to senior vice-president and general manager of Turner Content Solutions. He remains managing director for India.

Ringo Chan becomes senior vice president for Turner Content Solutions, assuming responsibility for Turner’s CNN broadcast sales business and news syndication.

Yew Ming Lau is also promoted to senior vice-president of business development and Turner Content Solutions, adding the Japan and Korea content sales business to his business development and new ventures portfolio.
