The announcement also saw Honda Motorcycles appoint another Omnicom agency, BBDO, to its creative business.

The appointment followed a pitch involving six other agencies, including incumbent agencies Octocomm and Euro Adwork.  Other agencies that participated include Matari and Juwara advertising.

“If someone had asked us to put together a list of brands that we would give our right arm to work with, it would be Honda Motorcycles," said Munar.

"It is not only a well-trusted brand in Indonesia but also one with an exciting range and we are delighted with their decision. We are looking forward to tapping into all aspects of OMD’s diverse offering and take the Honda Motorcycles brands in Indonesia to even greater heights,” he said.

OMD Indonesia has started work on the business.
