H+K Strategies Malaysia to draw on its network's digital talent

KUALA LUMPUR - H+K Strategies Malaysia says it will look to its network staff to strengthen its digital expertise.

H+K Strategies Malaysia to draw on its network's digital talent

Newly appointed managing director Justin Then told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the agency will bring expertise from within the network into the agency, as clients’ requirement has changed to demand all-rounder PR strategies.

“[Clients] have changed over the years,” he added. “They are not only asking for traditional PR, but they want all aspects of work. We have a digital team here and we want to build on the strength.”

Then said the agency would continue to hire talent who have a significant digital footprint. While talent is an industry-wide challenge, he noted that it is important for the agency to tap its global and regional employees.

“In addition, we have our former managing director Julia Ahmad staying with us as senior advisor,” he said.

“This is yet another one of our retention strategies to ensure that people with decades of experience like Julia can continue to share her knowledge and insight with the team. Having Julia remain within the H+K Strategies network is indeed a significant boost in terms of building our talent base.”

The agency is also looking to build beyond its strong areas, which are technology, automotive, digital, government agencies as well as oil and gas, with the hiring of the right people.
