“The time has come for me to move on and explore new ventures," he said. "The entrepreneurial spirit in me has been kindled and I look forward to setting up my own business in the not so distant future."

Serving more than 11 years at FIC, Himatsinghani was part of the team that helped build the business, starting off as part of STAR's advertising sales team in Hong Kong in 2001.

He subsequently moved on to set up National Geographic Channel's regional advertising sales business across Asia Pacific, helping build the sales teams across markets and driving some key partnerships that have become the cornerstone for Fox One Stop Media.

“Avi has helped us build each of our markets into a strong local business with teams on the ground, great distribution, ad sales partnerships and great affiliate relationships,” said Zubin Gandevia, COO at Fox International Channels, Asia-Pacific. “We’ll miss his passion, dedication, go-getter attitude and of course his unmatched ability to make all hard work look like fun. We wish him all the very best in his new endeavor.”

Himatsinghani has held the position of senior vice president and general manager, Southeast Asia since October 2009. He was instrumental in creating local market teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

He was also tasked with establishing strong partnerships with affiliates in these markets that later brought significant growth to FIC's Southeast Asia channel business, according to the company.

“Avi brought a high level of commitment, spirit and integrity to the FIC organization as a whole,” said Ward Platt, president at Fox International Channels, Asia Pacific. “He leaves behind a business with high growth potential and a team of extremely talented local leaders and managers. I wish him good luck in his new venture that I am sure will be a resounding success.”
