Henkel Home Care Korea appoints Omnicom Media Group's OMD as media AOR

SEOUL - Henkel Home Care Korea has appointed OMD as the agency-of-record to handle media buying and planning for all consumer products.

The pitch for the business is believed to have taken place last December and included TBWA and incumbent agency Mate Communications. OMD will start work on Henkel's media business on 1 Feburary.

The account includes Henkel’s insecticides, laundry and dishwashing detergent brands including Home Mat and Combat. DDB is the creative agency for the Persil laundry detergent brand.

“We are thrilled with the opportunity to work with Henkel, a well-respected international brand.  At OMD, we see ourselves as an extension of the client’s brand and we look forward to working with Henkel for upcoming campaigns for 2010,” said Maggie Choi, chief executive at OMD Asia Pacific.

Henkel Home Care Korea is a subsidiary group under The Henkel Group.
