The appointment means Shandu becomes the team lead to oversee digital strategies for Toshiba Asia-Pacific and KonicaMinolta Asia-Pacific.

“It is imperative for i-DAC to have a local leader who is strategic, knowledgeable and well-connected in the Singapore market,” Kyosuke Matsui, vice president at DAC Asia. “Ranjeet’s last decade spent in the local digital scene gives us a distinct advantage with Clients, partners and vendors alike.”

DAC is an integrated digital services organization, specialising in research, insights, strategy, creative development, media planning and buying, traffic management, analytics, DSP, broadband ad serving, ad evaluation services and search.

A Singaporean, Shandu spent a large part of his career at Citibank Singapore, in various cross functional roles from strategy, integration, brand compliance, analytics, training, merchant acquisition to vendor and project management.

While at Citibank, he was responsible for Ultima and CitiGold e-strategy under the Citibank World Privileges banner. He also previously worked at BBDO Proximity and OgilvyOne in the account and project management role.

“DAC has a formidable reputation as a digital powerhouse in Japan, and the Singapore office will act as the springboard for growth in Southeast Asia,” Shandu said.
