Haier partners with O&M to promote its refrigerator brand in Thailand

BANGKOK - Chinese electrical appliances firm Haier has chosen to partner with Ogilvy & Mather to develop its Thai market.

Haier, which entered Thailand in 2007 after purchasing Sanyo's refrigerator factory, has appointed O&M to promote its refrigirator brand in Thailand.

Haier is the second largest refrigerator manufacturer in Thailand.

Draft FCB, which has traditionally worked with Haier for various projects in markets across APAC, was also in the running for securing its creative business.

Haier Electrical Appliances Thailand aims to Invest US$10 million to expand production capacity.
To do this, it had recently announced that it will increase its marketing budget by 30 per cent this year to build the brand in the local market.
