Tay who joined Grey as creative director in March this year has resigned from his position.
Sources have informed Campaign that he intends to start his own agency and has already selected a few partners to launch his new shop.
Industry veteran Tay has over 15 years' work experience at JWT and Bates where he was the creative director and head of art respectively.
