Grey Group Singapore today appointed Tim Cheng as chief creative officer.

Cheng joins from DDB China Group/Tribal Worldwide China, where he spent the last four years as CCO. Before that, he worked at DDB/Tribal in both Beijing and Hong Kong as executive creative director.

“I am delighted to come onboard, and look forward to fostering a culture of creative excellence, especially as the network celebrates its 100th year anniversary this year,” Cheng said.

Cheng has more than 20 years of industry experience, and in that time has led creative strategy for a host of clients, including Hennessy, Qualcomm, Pepsi, China and Fonterra. He has won several awards at events like Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, the Digital Media Awards and others.

Subbaraju Alluri, area director and CEO, Grey Group Singapore & Thailand, said Cheng is “a well-respected professional” whose work “has consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity”.

“I look forward to working closely with him, and am confident that he will take our creative capabilities and output to the next level,” he added.
