Replacing Randy McConnell, Caulfield will work closely with Berndt Soderbom, president director of McCann Worldgroup, to strengthen and drive creative excellence for the agency’s expanding client list.

Soderbom noted that Caulfield’s deep knowledge and creative insight into the Indonesian market will be an invaluable asset to clients as well as the agency.

Caulfield has been in Indonesia for 12 years, nine of which he spend with Ogilvy Indonesia. He left Ogilvy as group ECD late last year to take a short break from the industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Caulfield said, “I’m excited to be joining McCann Worldgroup. Their impressive client portfolio, passion and energy for collaborative thinking lays a strong foundation for developing breakthrough integrated marketing solutions for our clients’ brands.”

With his approach to build depth of expertise within his teams, Caulfield helped Ogilvy in winning Indonesia’s first global and effectiveness awards for Nestle.

Campaign Brief Asia also named the agency Indonesia’s 'Agency of the Year' three years running.

McCann Worldgroup Indonesia handles clients such as Coca-Cola, L’Oreal, Pizza Hut Delivery, Smartfren and Cussons.

“With consumer confidence strengthening and attractive growth predicted for the market in light of the European economic woes, Indonesia remains one of the region’s growth engines, providing enormous opportunities for our clients businesses as well as our own,” Soderbom said.

Soderbom was appointed as the president director of McCann WorldGroup last year, following a number of personnel changes within the agency throughout 2011.
