W Shanghai - The Bund, located on the North Bund, is an extraordinarily versatile icon on the banks of the Huangpu River; with nearly all 374 guestrooms featuring views of the Huangpu River thanks to the uniquely curved frame of the building’s edifice, the hotel showcases an exciting combination of historic and modern influences.

Some 200 events have been held at the hotel within its first few months of opening, ranging from niche media conferences and product launches to grand galas and knowledge-empowering conferences for companies and associations.

The hotel has found a new dimension to its event offerings with complete book-outs by groups seeking to mark a special occasion or hold a conference, such is the 'wow' factor of W Shanghai - The Bund

With nearly 6,000 sqm of meeting and events space, including the 2,050-sqm Great Room and 12 function rooms illuminated in natural light, the venue ensures a remix to traditional meetings.

The Great Room, the largest hotel event space in Shanghai.

The Great Room in particular is the largest hotel event space in Western Shanghai. The entrance features a series of oversized mirror collages with a qipao motif, overlaid by a delicate art deco-inspired screen, reflecting the tension and contrasts between old and new Shanghai. Meanwhile, the 660-sqm Mega Room, in addition to the studios and strategy spaces, all cleverly adapt their industrial charm to perfectly suit each event.

The versatile event space is supported by superb services and excellent F&B choices ranging from creative cocktail canapes and themed coffee breaks to elegant banquets with a W twist.

Stage 5 pre-function area

Within the hotel there are five inspired social and dining options including: The Kitchen Table, a modern New York City style bistro with international cuisine; YEN, a two-story destination restaurant that creates authentic Cantonese dishes with a twist; Liquid at YEN, a golden age cocktail bar; and WOOBAR, an energised playground spotlighting world renowned DJs and crafted post-event drinks.
