Edelman Pegasus wins New Balance's PR account in China

SHANGHAI - Shoes and apparel brand New Balance has appointed Edelman Pegasus to its public relations account following a three-way pitch against Hill & Knowlton and Butterfly.

Edelman will be tasked with making New Balance and its NB6k series the number one running brand and series in China. 

New Balance will be opening its second 'Experience Store' in Huaihai lu in Shanghai next Saturday. The first was opened in Beijing last year. 

The brand's creative is handled by Bravo Asia as its creative agency-of-record whereas its media planning and buying is handled by PHD.

In terms of sport accounts, Edelman has worked with Puma, Coca Cola's Olympic activity and Major League Baseball's first game in China. Pegasus's current client roster includes Dopod, Citibank, Siemens, BMW and Yili.
