Econsultancy expands to Australia, hires new client services director

Lines, who is already in Australia, will be tasked with managing Econsultancy’s customised training and consultancy services for organisations within Australia and New Zealand, alongside providing support to more than 3,000 members the company has in the region.

Econsultancy launched its e-commerce and digital training programmes in Australia in April and is in the process of establishing a physical base of operations in Sydney.

In a prior interview with Campaign, Jake Hird, director of research and education for Econsultancy ANZ, implied that the firm wanted to capitalise on Asia-Pacific's digital boom. Hird, currently based in the UK, will be relocating to Australia soon.

"There are some enormous plans afoot for the next twelve months for the Australian market," said Lines. "The company’s well-established, international reputation carries a lot of weight within the global digital industry, so the role looks set to be equal parts of both challenging and rewarding.”
