Dyson appoints Naked to raise its profile in Japan

TOKYO – Dyson has appointed Naked Communications as its creative agency-of-record in Japan following a competitive pitch believed to have included three other international agencies.

Dyson appoints Naked to raise its profile in Japan

The account was previously handled by Saatchi & Saatchi Fallon. Naked will be responsible for building and solidifying the brand’s presence in the Japanese market.

According to Dyson Japan’s marketing director Matthew Broadway, the company is planning significant expansion to its research, design and development team to launch a number of new products.

“With Naked’s knowledge and understanding of the Japanese matket, we’re looking forward to launching this new technology with a new team on board,” Broadway said in a statement.

Naked Japan’s founding partners Jonny Shaw and Kaz Maezawa said that they would aim to “bring to life the brand and its revolutionary technology” for the Japanese consumer. The first work under the new appointment is expected to roll out in April.

ADK will continue to handle Dyson’s media duties in the market.
