Deutsche Bank calls global media planning and buying pitch

GLOBAL - Deutsche Bank has reportedly called a global pitch for the "entire bank's media planning and buying business", sources close to the review say.

Deutsche Bank calls global media planning and buying pitch
Sources further projected that the review would have a “large overseas focus” and the impact would be "quite large in Asia” as the bank aims to solidify its long-term commitment to the region.

“The bank does a lot of pan-regional work out of Hong Kong,” one source said, suggesting the regional process would be based out of the SAR.

The source noted that global agencies are “in the process of being briefed” ahead of presentations kicking off at the end of the month in Frankfurt, Deutsche Bank’s global headquarters.

Deutsche Bank’s Japanese business will not be included in the pitch, sources added.

According to sources in both Asia-Pacific and in the West, agencies believed to have been approached by the bank are Carat and Mindshare, though the latter has HSBC as a prized client.

Deutsche Bank refused to comment on the review.

Deutsche Bank Asia-Pacific is headquartered in Singapore. Worldwide, the company operates in 72 countries and employs approximately 80,000.
