DDB Guoan scores five new China wins

BEIJING - DDB Guoan Group in Beijing has landed five new accounts in the space of one week, included being appointed lead creative agency for local brands Lafaso, 360buy Jingdong Mall, Kama Classics and the China Life Insurance Company, as well as being awarded a new project for the Volkswagen Group China's E-fleet Museum project.

Online women’s fashion retailer Lafaso has chosen DDB Guoan to be its creative agency for 2011. The agency will lead the development of the company’s branding and communications strategies, in addition to supporting product and channel development.

The agency has also been chosen as lead creative agency for B2C e-commerce site 360buy Jingdong Mall (360buy.com). DDB Guoan will be responsible for building the company’s strategic communications strategy and supporting Jingdong Mall’s long-term brand development. The agency won the account through a competitive pitch against Ogilvy and Euro RSCG.

Kama Classics, a Beijing-based apparel retailer, appointed DDB Guoan through a competitive pitch to focus on its brand management and communications development.

DDB Guoan was also awarded a retainer assignment for 2011 by China Life Insurance Company, the largest life insurer in the country. The agency will be responsible for a comprehensive and integrated brand communications strategy to strengthen the corporate brand. The account was won through a competitive pitch with other 4A agencies.

Finally, DDB Guoan has landed the Volkswagen China Group E-fleet Museum project through another competitive pitch. As a sponsor of the National Museum of China, the automaker will showcase its hybrid and electric vehicles to take visitors on a museum-hopping experience. DDB Guoan will be responsible for strategic development, through-the-line communication planning and creative implementation.
