David Miami and Burger King scoop top honours in The One Show 2020 Global Creative Rankings

The One Show 2020 Global Creative Rankings have been announced, with David Miami taking the top agency spot around the globe for its infamous "Moldy Whopper" Burger King work.

Burger King also nabbed the number one position in this year’s Global Top 10 Client/Brand Rankings.

Asia-Pacific had a light showing in the 2020 rankings. Cheil Hong Kong was the only Asia-Pacific agency to make it to the top 20 global agency ranking, coming in at 18th place with 19 winning entries.

Further down the list, FCB India came in at 29th place, followed by Dentsu Inc (30), DDB Sydney (40), Ogilvy Shanghai (53), Cheil PengTai (57), Dentsu Webchutney (61), Mango Communications (66), TBWA/Hakuhodo (73), Geometry Ogilvy Japan (77), Grey Tokyo (84), Colenso BBDO (89), DDB Group New Zealand (89), Ogilvy Singapore (95) and so on.

Meanwhile Australian production company Revolver/Will O'Rourke came in at sixth place in the production company ranking.

Asia-Pacific was ranked as the third region overall, behind Europe and the US, but ahead of Latin America and Middle East & Africa. In country rankings, China tied 8th place with Brazil, followed by Japan.

"In a year when global awards like Cannes and others decided to cancel their shows, we were driven to uphold our nonprofit mission to support the creative community and elevate the best work in the world," said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO of The One Club for Creativity. "The industry will use this ranking as the global measure for creative excellence, as decided by a jury of more than 200 industry leaders."

The One Show’s jury went through 19,688 pieces of work that were entered across 71 countries.
