David Advertising appoints Alice Hsu as MD, Tricia Liu as board director

TAIPEI - Former Y&R and Wunderman Taiwan general manager Alice Hsu is joining David Advertising Taiwan as managing director from 1 September. The agency’s general manager Tricia Liu will also take on the role board director.

Hsu (pictured) was the general manager of Y&R and Wunderman Taiwan for six years, part of over 14 years' agency work experience in Taiwan. Her CV also include stints as vice president of JWT, client service director for Leo Burnett, and business director and head of the 360 Unit at Ogilvy & Mather

Also included VP at JWT client service director at Leo Burnett, and business director and head of 360 Unit at Ogilvy & Mather. In that time, she has served on major client accounts including Pizza Hut, Unilever's Pond’s and Dove Shampoo, Johnnie Walker, and Heinekken.

Meanwhile Liu has been David Advertising’s general manager since 2007, and was selected as the best advertising GM by the Taiwan 4A Association in 2010.

Tysen Deng, chairman of David Advertising since earlier this year, said that when Hsu was head of Ogilvy Taiwan,'s 360 Unit, she had worked closely with Liu (who was then planning director at the same agency). "Wiith our strong, creative team at David Advertising, we believe the duo will lead the agency to greater heights with new vitality," he said. 

Deng also added an additional role to his remit in July this year, when he agreed to oversee Bates 141 Taiwan afther the resignation of Henry Chu.
