Campaign's Tech MVP Awards 2024 jury revealed

This year's esteemed panel of jurors comprises 10 technology leaders from companies such as Mastercard, Microsoft, B Capital, and Deloitte, among others—all judging entries recognising the region's top tech talent and products.

Campaign's Tech MVP Awards 2024 jury revealed

Campaign Asia-Pacific is excited to announce the jury for Tech MVP 2024, which will celebrate the most exceptional technical talent and innovative products from the Asia-Pacific region. This year, winners of both categories will be revealed at Campaign’s Game Changers event in Singapore on October 22, 2024.

The theme for this year's Tech MVP and Game Changers is ‘Transformational technology for tomorrow's marketers.’

The jury below has been carefully selected to represent the full breadth of the industry, including brands, agencies, platforms, publishers, and tech suppliers. This diverse representation aims to reassure individuals and companies that their talent and products will be well understood.

All jury members have extensive experience in building or overseeing product development, as well as hiring and managing technical talent. This expertise ensures they know what to look for when identifying the Most Valuable Professional and Most Valuable Product. At least three jury members will review each category entry to ensure fair and rigorous judging. Jury members will also be excluded from judging entries from their own companies.

Nominations for Most Valuable Professional and Most Valuable Product are now open, with an early bird rate available until Friday, August 20, 2024.

Each entry will be reviewed by at least three jury members to ensure fair and rigorous judging. Jury members will recuse themselves from judging entries from their own companies.

Without further ado, we present the Tech MVP 2024 jury in alphabetical order:

Belinda Clark, vice president of experience strategy for SEA, RAPP

"Thanks to the thousands of platforms available today, navigating the tech world is no easy feat. I’m excited to be part of Tech MVP 2024 to help identify and elevate APAC's top professionals and products. In judging the entries for professionals, I’ll look for those with a deep knowledge of their craft who are also true leaders in the industry and their organisations. In judging the products, I’ll be looking for those that offer the opportunity for seamless integration with existing tech stacks while also integrating the latest innovations to deliver the best that tech has to offer. I can’t wait to get started judging!"

Chandan Deep, vice president, B Capital Group

"I am excited to be part of the Tech MVP because it represents a unique opportunity to foster innovation excellence and celebrate the exceptional technical talent and innovative products driving our industry forward. As someone passionate about scaling tech businesses in the region and contributing to the innovation ecosystem, I am keen to bring my expertise working with startups and help spotlight the groundbreaking work in Asia."

Dorothy Peng, partner at Deloitte Consulting

"I am keen to understand the entrants' submissions and see the impact on the businesses they work with and the people around them."

Hasan S. Hasnie, chief technology officer APAC at VML

"I am very excited to be a part of the Tech MVP 2024 Jury because APAC is a global hub for innovation. Many passionate individuals work in our great region, creating unique products that impact daily lives globally. I work at a global agency network where we solve business problems creatively. I want to be involved so I can be inspired by individuals and products and get a first-hand look at the pace and style of innovation in our region."

Nadiya Omar, media consultant

"I want to make tech sexy. There's something about tech that makes clients ‘switch off’. As such, so much excellent tech innovation never gets a chance to play on the field and sits on the bench until agencies and clients are forced to try something different once a year for some innovation initiative when they're no longer relevant or useful. It's so vital that we encourage and nurture an ongoing culture of possibility and play. Tech enables us to do that."

Nick Seckold, regional vice president for APAC at Microsoft Advertising

"The APAC region is a hotbed of creativity and ambition. Serving on the judging panel allows me to acknowledge and celebrate exceptional products and talent within the area. It is a privilege to assess innovative solutions to foster the advancement of technological innovation and to contribute to a thriving ecosystem where the next generation of tech leaders can flourish. I’m excited to have a front-row seat to witness the groundbreaking solutions and inspiring talent that’ll inspire us all."

Niraj Nagpal, lead, channel sales and partnerships data and services for APAC, Mastercard

"As a long-term resident of the region, it’s personally meaningful for me to highlight the incredible talent and innovation in the area. With more than half the world’s population, our region's diversity and complexity are unparalleled, and initiatives such as Tech MVP provide an opportunity to showcase the best talent and solutions from and for the area."

Sunita Kaur, director, Toothcomb

"Participating in Tech MVP selection is an honour and a responsibility. It allows us to spotlight those pushing boundaries, breaking new ground, and driving progress in our industry. Additionally, it plays a big part in encouraging continuous disruption in an ever-changing world. I've always loved disruption and innovation, and initiatives like these help uncover amazing ideas, bring them to the surface, and give them the air they need to iterate and scale."

Lu Kenn Wong, group director, addressable technology at Mediabrands Content Studios (Most Valuable Professional 2023)

"I want to be involved and give back what a career in technology has given to me. Events like these are essential not for the accolades but to shine a light on the accomplished silent leaders and unsung heroes and to give younger generations an ideal to aspire to."

Jury chair: Shawn Lim, editor, media and technology, Campaign Asia-Pacific

"Campaign Asia-Pacific is thrilled to support visionary innovators, enterprising minds, and skilled developers for the fourth year. This year, I am particularly excited about how the winners of Tech MVP will get to showcase the brilliance of transformative technology on a bigger stage at Campaign’s Game Changers event."

Our mission at Campaign Asia-Pacific is to reflect and recognise the full spectrum of the industry. While the marcomms industry has many awards, technical talent and products can often be overlooked. We want to shift that with Tech MVP and hope you will help us by shining a light on your brightest and best.
