Campaign’s Super Bowl LIX showcase of big game and big game adjacent ads

Super Bowl LIX has just concluded. And while baseball has historically been called America's pastime, it could be argued that watching the biggest football game of the year, its buzzy halftime show and the splashy commercials that air during it—make the event especially deserving of the term.

Some audiences tuned in to see who won the rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Others tuned in for Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated halftime show. And some may be even tuned in to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce from the team suite.

But for most of us, it’s all about the ads!

With an $8 million price tag for ad buys, brands including Doritos, Google and more were aiming high to capture the attention of more than 100 million people. This year’s crop of spots is bursting with celebrities, cute and crazy creatures, a little bit of nostalgia, and a healthy dose of tugging at heartstrings.
