Bryce Whitwam, who departed his post as CEO of Wunderman in April following the agency's merger with J Walter Thompson, will be the China CEO of MRM McCann.
He replaces Mike Zeng and will be responsible for driving growth for the agency, which has more than 200 people.
MRM McCann global CEO Kate MacNevin noted in the release that China has the world's highest proportion of digital marketing spend. "In this highly competitive Chinese market...it is imperative we are using our data and technology capabilities to drive digital transformation for our clients," she said. "Bryce is one of Asia’s pioneers of non-traditional advertising, and we are absolutely thrilled he is joining the MRM team to oversee and drive growth across all of our China operations.”
MacNevin thanked Zeng for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavours. He joined the agency in 2012 and was named CEO in late 2017.
