Felicia Almario and CJ Roque are appointed joint heads of account management with responsibility for the management of resources, training, development and integration across the account handling discipline.

Almario has been with the agency since 2005, having previously worked at Harrison Communications and Leo Burnett. Roque joined BBDO at the end of last year from McCann. Both have been successfully working on the agency’s Johnson & Johnson business.

Ombet Traspe has been promoted to become the agency’s first director of marketing, taking responsibility for the agency’s new business drive and reputation management. He has been with BBDO since 2004 having previously worked for Dentsu Y&R, in both Manila and Hong Kong, and at Campaigns and Grey.

Tony Harris, chief executive at BBDO Guerrero/Proximity Philippines, said he has been very fortunate to inherit some exceptional talent so it seemed only right to put it to use for the benefit of the agency.

“Felicia and CJ carry all the attributes of best practice that can serve as guiding lights to the rest of the account handling discipline. We need a department that is flexible, responsive, creatively driven and business-focused and they will undoubtedly deliver this,” he said.

Harris continues, ”This is a market that is becoming ever more competitive and in making sure that we are always at the forefront, we have created this new marketing role. Ombet embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that runs throughout the DNA of the Agency and so represents our ideal candidate”.

All three will report to Harris and to Francine Kahn-Gonzalez, the agency’s general manager, and take up their roles with immediate effect.
