Tweed will oversee the day-to-day running of the agency and broaden its offering across corporate, consumer and healthcare practices.

BBS Asia MD Louise Nicholson said BBS was fortunate to have someone of Tweed’s calibre to join the team and lead the Singapore office.

She said: “A former BBC journalist, Patricia specialised in health reporting before moving into public relations. She has built a strong track record in healthcare communications, acting as a specialist media adviser to the British Government on a range of issues including BSE and childhood vaccination, among other matters.”

Tweed boasts over 20 years’ experience in the PR industry. She has been based in Singapore for the past six years and has led campaigns for healthcare companies across Asia-Pacific.

Separately, BBS has hired James Yi, a senior consultant who led Fleishman Hillard’s healthcare practice in Singapore previously.
