Chong will report to Andreas Vogiatzakis, managing director, Omnicom Media Group Malaysia.

This is Chong's second promotion in 2011 following her appointment as senior business director in January. She takes over from Josie Lim, COO of PHD Malaysia who has been heading the agency since its former GM, Law Chan Keong, departed to head MEC Malaysia in 2009.

"In the past few months, Chong has demonstrated exceptional business development and strategic planning capabilities that are instrumental to PHD’s continuing success in Malaysia," commented Vogiatzakis.

In the course of her career with creative and media agencies, Chong has worked with blue-chip clients such as F&N Coca Cola, CIMB, L'Oreal and DiGi.

Cheuk Chiang, CEO, PHD Asia Pacific agreed that Chong's past performance has driven business growth. "Her knowledge of diverse industry sectors and ability to mentor the team have proven to be invaluable," he added.
