LONDON - William Reed Business Media, based in Gatwick, UK, France and the US, has appointed Haymarket Media (publisher of Campaign Asia-Pacific) to manage the launch in Singapore of its new event, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

ANNOUNCEMENT: William Reed Business Media appoints Haymarket Media to launch ‘Asia's 50 Best Restaurants’ Awards

Part of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants programme, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will recognise the region’s growing culinary diversity and quality, in line with global culinary trends, according to the organisers.

The World's 50 Best Restaurants list is recognised around the world as the most credible indicator of the best places to eat on Earth. It is the trusted arbiter of what matters in global cuisine. The new list of Asia's 50 Best restaurants, as voted for by The World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, will shine a spotlight on the best restaurants in Asia and uncover hidden gems discovered by experts.

The launch event will be held on 25th February 2013 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Charles Reed, Group MD, of William Reed Business Media said of the appointment: “Following the success of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, we are excited to announce the date of the first ever awards ceremony for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. This launch champions the significant and continued growth of the industry in Asia, and provides the restaurants with international peer reviews, recommendation and profile. We chose to appoint Haymarket Media to manage this important and high profile launch for us as they have 14 years of experience in Asia and local offices and event specialists in Singapore and Hong Kong.”

Commenting on the announcement, Kevin Costello, chief executive of Haymarket Media Group, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by a like-minded business such as William Reed Business Media to oversee and manage this exciting new event. Our awards and events teams in Hong Kong and Singapore have already established strong roots in the region with a number of successful and renowned events like Spikes Asia and are ready to take on this challenge. We look forward to working with William Reed Business Media on this new venture.”
