Ampverse launches creator fund within its talent management arm

The two-month old company is launching a new talent management business unit to identify and nurture up-and-coming esports and gaming creators.

Ampverse launches creator fund within its talent management arm

Southeast Asian gaming and esports media company Ampverse is launching a talent management arm that will include a creator fund to nurture up-and-coming creators.

Ampverse Talent Management aims to identify eminent gaming influencers and elevate their careers by providing creative and commercial guidance.

Signed talent will be able to participate in the Ampverse Creator Fund, which will pay creators in the form of dividends based proportionally upon each talent’s impact towards the overall commercial performance of Ampverse.

The business now operates across three units: the talent management arm, the creator network and a creative studio, called Ampverse Publishing. The studio is focused on building publishing assets, creative formats and co-branded intellectual properties with brands.

Ampverse chief content officer Matthias Beyer said: “The burgeoning gaming and esports talent from this region is exactly what Ampverse was built to support, so our business is structured with a vested interest in the potential of our talent partners.”

The Ampverse creator network currently includes gaming and esports influencers with a collective following of over 150 million people, the company claims.

The company launched in September and has so far worked with clients including Samsung, Garnier Men and Garena. It has partnered with some of the region’s leading gaming influencers and talent, including the 2020 EA FIFA brand ambassador Fifatargrean, and leading Southeast Asian esports team Bacon Time, who professionally compete in ‘Arena Of Valor’, a global multiplayer online battle arena game with over 100m users in 85 countries.

Last week the business made several senior appointments across its Thailand and Singapore offices, including Jenny Hall director for sales and brand partnerships in Southeast Asia, and Sutthathep Makmee as head of sales for Thailand.
