Aegis Media brings in new regional business director

SINGAPORE - Aegis Media Asia-Pacific has today appointed James Smyllie as its new regional business director, effective immediately.

In his new role, Smyllie will be based in Singapore and be responsible for developing relationships with key regional clients and working to win new businesses in the region together with Sean O'Brien, chief client officer at Aegis Media Asia-Pacific.

Prior to his appointment, Smyllie most recently managed Carat's clients out of the Hong Kong office for over four years. He led the team, bringing in new business wins including Pernod Ricard Asia, Peninsula Hotels, Korean Air and the Korean Tourism Organisation.

“Having worked at Carat for over four happy and successful years, it was time for a change," commented Smyllie. "We have a dynamic new management team here which has the right strategy for growth in the region, and I am very excited to be part of it.”
