Founder and creative director of Bulldozer Andy McKeon explained the client's brief: “Do an ad beer drinkers will like. Reposition the chip as prestigious but laconic Australian.” Most importantly “use hot chicks.”
The ad tells a moral tale on ‘patience’ being a virtue and as promised the commercial uses beautiful models in beachwear, and they are brainy, too.
The plot parallels the children fable The Hare and the Tortoise to the secret goodness of the slow-cooked Kettle Chips.
The campaign is debuting during the NRL Grand Final, which is one of the most watched events in Australia.
