Best spaces to work: Verizon Media Singapore

Verizon Media staff have officially settled into their newly re-designed office at Mapletree Anson in Singapore’s central business district.

Verizon Media, formerly Oath and home to Yahoo, has made good on it’s commitment to give employees a 'wow' experience with a fun and inspiring workplace. The newly re-designed office introduced some new spaces, including a function area with operable walls, lounges, and the new Yahoo studio that is fully equipped for television production and live broadcast.

Floor to ceiling glass windows surround the office maximising natural lighting, while inverted plants and greenery provide an oasis in the office environment. Murals of uniquely Singapore places and experiences adorn the walls of meeting rooms.

The revamp also focused on introducing new collaboration spaces, meeting rooms, phone booths and nursing rooms - providing spots for privacy or open fun areas for impromptu meetings and cross-team catch-ups. These new collaboration areas are fitted with classic booth seats, leather lounge sofas and lux armchairs.

A large cafeteria serves free breakfast and lunch for staff to sustain themselves while beating the lunch crowd.

The ‘Unwind Zone’, meanwhile, is the place to enjoy some down time. Pillars are framed with pop art alongside billiard and foosball tables. Employees can also head to the cafeteria that is furnished with massage chairs for some time of relaxation or get their game on with the PS4 console.

With an office like this, any employee is bound to blurt out 'yahoo!' a bit more often.
