Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia selects general manager

SINGAPORE – The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia has selected Chris Marsh as general manager, Studio Entertainment, responsible for marketing, movie distribution and live events across the region.

Marsh will report to Robert Gilby, managing director, The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. He will be tasked with expanding partnerships and marketing synergies while increasing the reach of the Disney and Marvel brands.

He has worked for Disney since 2005, and joins the Southeast Asia team from Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.

“Chris brings in a great combination of international franchise management experience and cross-functional studios knowledge to support Disney’s brand building initiatives and in growing the studios business in Southeast Asia,” said Gilby.

Prior to Disney, Marsh worked in various marketing and business development roles at Warner Bros., Lucasfilm, Turner Broadcasting and Sony Pictures. He received his MBA from Columbia University in New York.
