Tan, who led global media relations for Emirates Airline for five years, will report to Weber Shandwick Singapore’s managing director and vice-chairman for Asia-Pacific Baxter Jolly.

The move sees Tan rejoin Weber Shandwick Singapore where she previously worked in 2000. She moved up the ranks to account supervisor and received awards for her work in healthcare while at the agency.

“Valerie’s early success at Weber Shandwick, coupled with her international experience, makes her extremely well-suited to lead the healthcare practice in Singapore, which she helped develop,” Jolly said. “We are thrilled to welcome back one of our most accomplished team members to Weber Shandwick.”

The agency adds that, at Emirates Airline, Tan oversaw the launch of more than 20 destinations and the announcement of two world record-breaking aircraft orders.
