Dominioni will focus on enlarging TMG’s production and sales presence in Shanghai, while planning for new offices in the region. He will also lead TMG’s core team of executives including recent hires, Normandy Madden and PT Black, as well as Terry Horsmon, who led the company’s initial expansion in Shanghai.

Dominioni is based in San Francisco, but he will spend substantial time in Shanghai as well as TMG’s global headquarters in Los Angeles.

“Apart from being a seasoned executive who is well-versed in Chinese culture, content and language, Fred also knows how to build and manage large teams, while servicing demanding clients in fast-changing territories like China,” said Jak Severson, Thoughtful’s CEO. “He’s going to be doing a lot of big things for us here and around the world.”

Dominioni brings more than 15 years of sales management experience across a broad spectrum of media businesses. Before he joined TMG, he was vice-president of channel account management, Asia-Pacific at Kit Digital (KITD), a Prague-based global provider of on-demand, IP-based video asset management solutions.

Meanwhile, TTMG has also promoted Horsmon to senior VP, global market development from managing director, Asia-Pacific. He will continue to divide his time between Shanghai and Los Angeles.
