Roche Vandenberghe, general manager at TCP-TBWA, noted that the pay-TV operator has been aggressive for the past years. “They were recognised last December by the Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI) as the pay-TV company with the highest sales growth (800 per cent) within one year. Our team is delighted to be working on this aggressive goal with them.”

The pay-TV competition in Indonesia is heating up, with the Cable and Satellite Broadcasters’ Association of Asia (CASBAA) recently reporting that the media economy in the country is growing even faster than the economy. The country's pay-TV industry currently has more than two million subscribers.

CASBAA added that there is plenty of room to expand as new players enter the landscape with growth spurred by innovative pricing strategies, higher quality content and new advertising strategies.

The country’s economy grew by 6.5 per cent in Q4 2011.

Gandhi Suryoto, executive creative director at TCP-TBWA, said, “It’s good to see the competition amongst pay-TV providers. Now, it’s nice to work on it. From the creative standpoint, it’s interesting to experience its services as we have been exposed to other pay-TV providers, or even became their customer.”
