The "Pure air lovers' society (P.a.l.s.)" aims to emphasise the importance of clean air and also educate people on how to live more environmentally-friendly lives.

The company says there was the need for a campaign of this nature. Disastrous events have already occured due to global warming, if environment is to be continually damaged, this could lead to unanticipated events to arise in the near future.

The society consists of celebrity ambassadors such as radio host Malishka, actors Milind Soman and Gerson da Cunha as well as columnist Anil Dharker. The society strives to encourage citizens to become a part of p.a.l.s. The campaign will increase in intensity in the upcoming months with new activations and initiatives that aim to drive traffic towards registrations.

The global head of brand of the Suzlon Group, Dharini Mishra said, “At Suzlon, we want to go beyond our corporate duties and dispel apathy to create social consciousness on environmental change. Working towards this, we initiated p.a.l.s. – a group of environmentally responsible individuals, who not only voice their opinions against the constant threat to our environment, but follow through in their actions. We believe that p.a.l.s. will create a change in attitudes, and eventually actions, to make our air cleaner and environment healthier”.

The company wishes to create a society in which the people of India understand the issues surrounding the environment and take some sort of initiative when it comes to cleaning it up.
