Stewart Adams, previously the MD of Britain's regional airline BMI Regional, has been named managing director at Tiger Airways. He takes on his new post in January next year.

Adams comes with 34 years of aviation experience, and was instrumental in growing BMI Regional into an extensive network across Europe.

In a statement, Tiger’s group CEO and president Tony Davis, said, “We are committed to significantly expanding our operations from Singapore and Stewart will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that Tiger Airways operates with both the lowest cost base and the highest levels of reliability and punctuality.”

Adams’ appointment follows the departure of Rosalynn Tay, who joined Tiger Airways five years ago as head of marketing, before being promoted to MD.
