Starcom MediaVest Group taps Mindshare’s Lisa Weinstein for global role

GLOBAL – Lisa Weinstein has been appointed president of global digital and search at Starcom MediaVest Group.

Lisa Weinstein joins Starcom MediaVest Group from Mindshare in Chicago. She was most recently managing partner where she worked on a number of high profile assignments for clients including BP, Kimberly-Clark, Motorola and Wrigley. Her work with BP resulted in several honours including a gold Effie and recognition as one of the top ten brand efforts by Fortune Magazine in 2007.

She will continue to be based in Chicago in her new role, and will focus on driving a strategic digital agenda inspired by both marketer needs and the future state of the communications industry, and expand global search capabilities working with SMG’s leadership and dynamic digital team. In this role, she reports to Laura Desmond, global CEO, SMG.

“Lisa has a vision for the future state of our industry which focuses on the intersection of marketing and technology.  She has proven her leadership and digital ingenuity in this area by winning, building and growing clients’ businesses,” said Desmond.

“Having delivered business solutions that are equal parts data and analytics, human understanding and technology, Lisa’s passion for digital coupled with strategic strength is a winning and enviable combination for next generation leadership,” she said.
