The new office has been formed through a merger with The Tomorrow Group, a locally-based marketing communications agency.

Renamed Slack and Company Asia, the Hong Kong office will provide an on-the-ground presence and full, integrated communications services for Slack and Company clients, according to Bengt Sjogren, president and head of international at Slack and Company.

Slack and Company Asia will be headed by Stefan Ronnquist, founder of The Tomorrow Group. Ronnquist has over 20 years of experience in international business-to-business marketing with clients such as Finnair, Nolato, Scania, Sony, Singapore Post, SingTel and ZTE.

“With a new five-year plan transforming China’s focus from export manufacturing to domestic consumption, the timing of our announcement couldn’t be better,” Ronnquist said.

Also joining the board of Slack and Company Asia is Michael Zhu, president of the Lan-bridge Group, Slack and Company’s agency partner in Chengdu, and general manager of Slack and Company China.
