Ravi Kiran moves on from Starcom Mediavest Group

Ravi Kiran, CEO for South Asia at Starcom MediaVest Group, is leaving the organisation at the end of the year.

Kiran's departure was announced in an official statement issued by SMG.

Speaking on the development, Andrew Swinand, SMG’s president of global pperations, said, “Ravi has been a part of our India operations for over 11 years. In his various roles within the organisation he has been instrumental in taking Starcom MediaVest Group India to the level of trust and respect it enjoys today.”

He added, “Ravi’s vision and leadership have driven a period of tremendous growth for Starcom MediaVest Group in South Asia leading to a strong foundation for the future.” 

Kiran said, “I have spent most of my career managing a variety of jobs with Starcom MediaVest Group. I have learnt from various people through this journey and I’m grateful to the organisation for having supported me and given me responsibilities to shoulder of various kinds. The decision to move was not an easy one.”

The company says it is close to finalising a successor from a shortlist of internal as well as external candidates. Kiran will continue in his present role until the end of the year.
