R/GA has launched a unit offering artificial intelligence services in Singapore.

Called Brand AI, the division will be led by Laurent Thevenet, senior technology director; Mark Law, creative director of experience design; and Jehan Leanage, regional executive director for consulting.

Brand AI was initially developed in Chicago. According to R/GA, it will design and build AI-driven products and marketing communications, chat and voice-assisted products, and apply AI to traditional customer support.

R/GA Singapore managing director Dorothy Peng said in a statement that the service would help clients “transform customer experience and grow their businesses”.

R/GA said its AI-related activities are supported by its relationships with startups through R/GA Ventures, and its experience of working with technology companies such as Google, Facebook and Tencent.
