SINGAPORE - Property website PropertyGuru.com is getting innovative with its usage of the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) to catch the eye of bargain hunters.

PropertyGuru has worked with leading developers to produce a list of low-priced condos. Dubbed the PGSS (PropertyGuru Great Singapore Specials) supplement, it is available in print and on a microsite.

PGSS boasts properties with selling prices up to $150,000 lower than their initial launch price. It also features condo projects with immediate occupancy, complete interiors, and partial absorption of the buyer's stamp duty.

“The PGSS aims to highlight smart condo buys at attractive entry points for property seekers who are in the market to purchase a condo for either residential or investment purposes,” said Steve Melhuish, co-founder and CEO of PropertyGuru.

Developed together with creative agency Brilliant, the two-month initiative is timed to coincide with the GSS. The campaign kicked off on a broad range of digital, broadcast, outdoor and online channels with a series of teasers.

“In light of Singapore’s most iconic sale, the GSS gave us the perfect opportunity to talk to customers with an eye for a bargain," said Jon Pye, creative partner at Brilliant. "The ‘P’GSS is the first coordinated property sale—so as well as a new wardrobe, you can pick up a new home to keep it in.”

PropertyGuru claims the initiative has helped create a spike in lead-generation of an average 14 times for the properties listed.
