OMD's Karen Ho joins MEC China in charge of MEC Interaction

BEIJING - OMD's Karen Ho has been appointed as the head of MEC Interaction in reporting to Michelle Ko, president of MEC China.

Ho (pictured), who replaces Sharon Wang following her recent resignation, joins from her role as digital director of planning and ad ops/ analytics at OMD Beijing since 2008.

Following her appointment in September, Ho works with clients including Chanel, Mercedes-Benz, DHL, Sony Ericsson, Ikea and Colgate in her new role. 

She has over 10 years' experience in digital media in Hong Kong and China. At OMD she managed the media teams for clients Intel, GE and Apple and was behind the first-ever ad operations and analytics department for OMG China.

Ho has also worked at Wwwins Consulting in Shanghai and on the media owner side at Red Media and Tom.com in Hong Kong.

“At MEC, we have evolved our approach to ensure that digital is fully integrated throughout all areas of our business and runs through the veins of the work we deliver for our clients,” said Ko. “Karen’s appointment is evidence of the critical importance of digital expertise to our business.”

MEC Interaction is the digital, social and direct arm of MEC China.
