Ogilvy PR names new global corporate practice MD

GLOBAL – Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has appointed Stuart Smith (pictured) as managing director of its global corporate practice.

Smith has joined Ogilvy PR from fellow WPP agency Hill & Knowlton, where he served as head of corporate practice across Europe, the Middle East and Africa for three years and oversaw innovation, intellectual property, business development and client service.

He will begin the new role in February and report directly to global chief executive Christopher Graves. Principal responsibilities will include overseeing activities in the areas of corporate reputation and branding.

In a statement, Graves described Smith as “among the best in the business”.

In addition to his professional roles, Smith is a regular lecturer at UK and US universities. He will be based in London.
