The Rosewood Group will be opening two properties in Hong Kong and Bangkok this month, while its new property in Guangzhou is expected to debut later in spring this year.

Rosewood Hong Kong will be opening on 17 March, ahead of its Thai counterpart on 31 March. The property features a luxury waterfront property on the Victoria Dockside district in Tsum Sha Tsui, which marks its first property in its home market.

Guest rooms start at 52sqm and suites at 92sqm, some of the largest in Hong Kong. The hotel’s largest suites, the stunning Harbour House and The Garden House, will enjoy a whopping 1,000sqm of space with wrap-around harbour views from private sky terraces on the 57th floor, planted landscaped gardens, sun decks with private lap pools and a private gym.

The hotel has 3,200sqm of events space including a private garden with harbour views. For meetings, a grand ballroom, the residential-style Pavilion, and The Orangery, a covered terrace overlooking the lawn, are available.

Meanwhile, Rosewood Bangkok will be the brand's second property in Thailand after Rosewood Phuket which launched in 2017. The 30-storey property occupies two high-rise buildings at the business and embasssy district on Ploenchit Road; and will be linked to the Ploenchit sky train station.

Compared to the property in Hong Kong, Rosewood Bangkok has considerably smaller events and meetings space with 320sqm of indoor meetings space which accomodates 300 people as well as a 300sqm ballroom.

The hotel launched its social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram last February with its #WaiBangkok campaign which features street photography by Tum Chanipol Kusolcharttum and Scott Woodward. The campaign also invites Bangkok residents and travellers to share their photos of the city to win credits at the hotel.

The structure of Rosewood Bangkok pays homage to wai, the traditional Thai greeting.

Other upcoming Rosewood openings in this region include Chengdu (2023) and Shanghai (2024).
