MediaMonks announces trio of APAC hires

New recruits include former Singapore CEO of APD

MediaMonks today revealed three new senior hires in Asia-Pacific: Sanne Drogtrop, Tobias Wilson and Erick Alonso.

Drogtrop joins as head of production and brings more than 15 years’ experience working with multinational brands from Amsterdam to China. She was previously head of production at Wieden + Kennedy in Shanghai and also worked as executive producer of interactive at 72andSunny in Amsterdam. At MediaMonks, Drogtrop will oversee all production operations in China.

Wilson comes in as MediaMonks APAC vice president of growth and was most recently Singapore CEO of recently-acquired APD. He has a decade of experience in the region, working at various digital agencies and founding his own, @ccomplice. Erick Alonso joins as business director, leaving GTB in Shanghai where he was digital account director.

Victor Knaap, MediaMonks CEO, said APAC is the creative production company’s key region for growth. “We’re scaling up with the best talent in the region. You’ll be hearing from us very soon with another exciting update.”

MediaMonks recently opened an office in Singapore with S4Capital sister firm MightyHive. The company has also brought clients on board including Shiseido, P&G SK-II, Mead Johnson Nutrition Reckitt Benckiser, Marriott and Resorts World Sentosa.
