Media Contacts Hong Kong appoints Margaret Fung as general manager

HONG KONG - Margaret Fung (pictured) has joined Media Contacts, an interactive arm of Havas Digital, as general manager in Hong Kong.

Media Contacts Hong Kong appoints Margaret Fung as general manager
Fung will work closely with Havas’ media network MPG and creative network Euro RSCG to grow new business and advance the agency's operations.

Formerly a client of Media Contacts and MPG, Fung was the marketing director at business management solutions company Mind Your Own Business (MYOB).

On her appointment Fung said: “The Hong Kong operation at Media Contacts is very unique."  She added that unlike working at MYOB where she solely oversaw the Hong Kong market, she will now work with the rest of Asia, even South America.

Fung suggested that spending on digital marketing in Hong Kong has increased. Major international clients under Media Contacts Hong Kong include DBS, Credit Suisse and others in the finance and travel sectors.

Both Fung and Seán de Cuirtéis, regional business director of Media Contacts Hong Kong, agree that the company has plans to expand its client profile across different industries. One of its key focuses will be to provide new media offerings for the South China Morning Post.

Fung will report directly to Thomas Wong, CEO of Havas Media Greater China.

In November last year, Media Contacts appointed Sandrine Critchley to the newly created position of digital strategy director.
